Free online PDF tools
Merge, split, reorder and convert PDFs in your browser. Compare operations, examples and limits, then check the downloaded result before sharing.
Choose based on the document you need
Sheet positions start at the first page in the file, including an unnumbered cover. Decide whether to move complete documents, select sheets or change their presentation before processing.
Prepare a source copy and decide what must change before choosing a tool. Page operations affect selection, position or orientation; conversions change the output type. Merging retains complete documents in sequence, interleaving alternates two files, and extraction combines selected pages. Understanding that distinction prevents producing a valid file that does not meet the intended delivery. Positions begin at the first PDF page even when printed numbering starts later, after a cover or introduction. Check that correspondence before choosing a range.
Visible editing can affect other document features. Inspect signatures, links and forms when they need to keep working. Cropping reduces the displayed area without deleting hidden objects; adding margins reconstructs larger sheets; converting to images removes interaction and selectable text from the output. For scanned files, distinguish pixels from actual text because extraction does not perform OCR. Review representative pages and keep sources for different selections or orientations. Size limits protect device resources, but accepted files can still require time when they contain many images. The final criterion is a readable, complete download appropriate for its destination, including any features the recipient is expected to use.
Combine complete documents
Each PDF contributes all its pages as a block. Arrange the files in the list.
Merge PDF →Create separate files
Each page or range creates another document. Multiple results are grouped in a ZIP.
Split PDF →Alternate two scans
Pairs fronts and backs, with an option to reverse the second file.
Interleave PDFs →Keep the original and open the download to inspect order, links and forms. Margin cropping retains hidden content. Converting to images removes PDF functions and produces pixels.
