3-page PDF; order 3,1,2.

Expected result

Final sequence: page 3, page 1, page 2.

Drawn page numbers do not recalculate after reordering. Number the copy after finalizing the sequence.

Reorder PDF pages: uses and practical guidance

Reordering PDF pages fixes a document sequence without requiring another scan. You can restore a misplaced cover, move an appendix beside its explanation or correct pages that arrived in the wrong order. Identify each sheet by its content before changing positions and prepare the final reading sequence. Thumbnails provide orientation, but inspect pages at a larger scale when several sheets look almost identical or contain similar headings.

The sequence should match the reading experience you want to provide. Review references such as “see the next page” and any printed page numbers. Moving a sheet does not update those references or automatically renumber text already embedded in the document. Use the numbering tool afterwards when additional visible page labels are needed. If an entire scan is backwards, Reverse PDF pages is more direct than moving each sheet individually into a new position.

Read the downloaded PDF from beginning to end, paying special attention to chapter boundaries. Its page count should match the operation you intended; investigate any unexpected repetition or missing sheet. Duplicate pages explicitly when a repeated page is required. Save the result with a name that distinguishes the ordered version from the source. Bookmarks, form fields and signatures may require further inspection after reconstruction, even when the visible content of every individual page appears to have been preserved correctly.

A practical check before using the result

For a long review, list page titles or opening words in the intended final order. Compare that reference with the download and mark sheets as they are inspected. If several pages share the same heading, use another distinguishing detail, such as a date or final sentence. This reduces the risk of placing a similar looking sheet in the wrong position. Afterwards, check that sections read coherently and that any external index used for delivery matches the new sequence. Sequence verification needs recognizable content, not only a matching page total.

Continue your task

Download the result or copy the text before opening another tool. Then load or paste it into the next step; content is not transferred automatically.

Settings and limits

Enter the full order, such as 3,1,2. Pages may repeat and ranges may run backwards.

Up to 120 MB and 500 pages per document. Output copies also support up to 500 pages. Encrypted PDFs are unsupported. Check links, forms, annotations and signatures after editing a document. Available memory may require smaller batches.

Frequently asked questions

What happens to pages I do not enter?

They do not appear in the copy. Enter the full sequence to retain all pages; repeated references repeat sheets in the result.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Your file and result are processed locally in your browser. No account is needed.

Is it free, and do I need to sign up?

Yes, it is free. You do not need to sign up, create an account or install an app, and there is no daily quota: open the tool and use it. The only limits are file sizes, which protect your device’s memory.

Does it leave a watermark on the result?

No. Snipshed adds no watermark, logo or text of its own to the files you download: the result is yours exactly as you configured it.

Is quality lost?

No. Pages are copied as they are into the new PDF, without recompressing text, images or graphics, so quality is identical to the original.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes, from your phone’s browser (Safari, Chrome…) and without installing any app. When it finishes, the file is saved from the browser itself: on iPhone it appears in the Files app and on Android in Downloads. With very large files the phone may run out of memory; try a smaller file or a computer.
