How to use this tool

  1. Identify sideways or upside-down sheets.
  2. Choose 90°, 180° or 270° and select only sheets that need that rotation.
  3. Download and open the copy: the change is saved rather than applied only to the browser view.

An example you can verify

Correct sideways sheets without rotating the rest.

Example input

3-sheet PDF; clockwise 90° rotation on page 2.

Expected result

Only the second sheet changes reading orientation.

Rotation adds to the existing value. Adding 90° to a sheet already at 90° produces 180°.

Rotate PDF: uses and practical guidance

Rotating a PDF corrects sheets displayed sideways or upside down. This commonly occurs in scans mixing portrait pages with landscape tables, or documents captured while a phone was held in a different orientation. Choose the pages requiring a change and the intended angle. Rotation changes how a sheet is presented. It does not automatically recognize reading direction or straighten a photograph tilted by only a few degrees.

Try the operation on a representative page and inspect lettering, the heading and the upper edge. Ninety degrees and two hundred seventy degrees lead to opposite orientations. A one hundred eighty degree turn corrects an upside down page without changing the sequence of surrounding sheets. Apply a specific selection when only some pages are wrong, otherwise already readable pages may be rotated unnecessarily alongside the ones you intended to fix.

Open the downloaded result and review modified pages together with their immediate neighbours. Check printing when mixed orientations must fit the same paper size. Changing an angle does not rearrange the document or rewrite printed page numbers. Reorder PDF pages or Reverse PDF pages addresses a sequence problem instead. Keep the source file and test important interactive elements separately: a corrected visual appearance does not by itself establish that every function or signature in the modified document behaves exactly as it did in the original.

A practical check before using the result

For mixed orientations, list the pages needing a turn and note where each heading should end up. Avoid selecting all pages for convenience when some are already correct. After exporting, inspect an unchanged page to confirm the selection preserved the rest. If rotation fixes on screen reading but printing still has the wrong orientation, review printer settings. File orientation and paper or scaling choices are different workflow steps. A successful page turn should be verified against both the intended selection and the destination where the corrected copy will be read.

Settings and limits

Choose rotation and pages. Rotation adds to existing rotation; leave blank to rotate the whole document.

Up to 120 MB and 500 pages per document. Output copies also support up to 500 pages. Encrypted PDFs are unsupported. Check links, forms, annotations and signatures after editing a document. Available memory may require smaller batches.

Frequently asked questions

Does rotation replace the sheet’s existing rotation?

No. It adds to it. A sheet already at 90° becomes 180° after another 90° rotation.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Your file and result are processed locally in your browser. No account is needed.
