Online text and list tools
Count words, compare versions and transform lists or paragraphs. Explore Unicode, whitespace, matching and order rules through tool-specific examples.
Review text, transform it or prepare a list
Paste text as received and choose the operation you need. Whitespace, letter case and line breaks may be meaningful, particularly in codes and tables.
Identify the unit of work first. A counter analyzes characters and words, while many list operations treat one complete line as an entry. Visual wrapping inside a field is not necessarily a stored line break. Prepare one item per line for deduplication, sorting or filtering, and decide what spaces and case variations mean. Identical entries may need to remain when they represent independent participations. Input structure is part of choosing the correct transformation rather than a detail to ignore until afterwards.
Literal transformations do not automatically correct meaning. Capitalization does not recognize every acronym, removing accents can merge different words, and cleaning breaks can join paragraphs needing separation. Test a representative passage and inspect changes before copying all output. Unicode distinguishes visual symbols from code points, which matters under length limits. Compare revisions using the same scope and retain the source. Word frequency can highlight repetition, but reading is necessary to decide what adds clarity. For structured data and programming, use format aware tools rather than treating every separator as ordinary paragraph spacing. A useful result preserves the distinctions your workflow depends on while making the intended edit easier.
Check length
Counts Unicode code points, words, lines and paragraphs. Other platforms may apply different limits.
Character and word counter →Remove unwanted whitespace
Trims line edges and optionally collapses inner whitespace or removes blank lines.
Clean text whitespace →Keep one occurrence per line
Retains the first occurrence and order. Choose whether letter-case differences should count.
Remove duplicate lines →Change a specific string
Finds literal text and replaces either the first match or every match.
Find and replace text →Review proper names and table alignment after transforming text. These tools do not correct grammar or interpret sentence meaning.
