How to use this tool

  1. Paste the text with line breaks.
  2. Choose how to join lines and whether to collapse spaces.
  3. Copy the result and review the paragraphs.

An example you can verify

Join the lines of copied text so it flows as a paragraph.

Example input

Text copied from a PDF with breaks in the middle of each sentence.

Expected result

One continuous paragraph per block, with blank lines between paragraphs.

Scan the text and check that no words were joined and paragraph separations were not lost.

Remove line breaks: uses and practical guidance

When copying text from a PDF, an email or a multi-column page, each line usually ends with a line break that does not exist in the original text. The result is a block with broken sentences that is awkward to paste into an editor, a form or a translator. Removing line breaks rebuilds the text so it flows, and it is one of the most frequent cleanup tasks.

There are three ways to join. With a space, keeping paragraphs retains blank lines as the separation between blocks and joins the lines of each block with a space; it is the safest option for text with several paragraphs. Everything in one paragraph joins absolutely everything with spaces. No space removes the breaks without adding anything, useful for codes, keys or broken character lists, but it can glue words together if each line ended with a complete word.

Always review the result. Words hyphenated at the end of a line are not rebuilt automatically and may remain as “pa- per”. A bulleted list or a pasted table loses its structure when joined. If you need to sort or remove double spaces afterwards, use the related text tools. Text is processed in your browser and is not sent to any server.

Some special cases deserve care. A poem or a postal address has line breaks that are part of the content, and joining them would change their meaning. Code with intentional breaks, a list of items or a copied table need a different tool. If your text mixes paragraphs and lists, remove breaks in small blocks instead of processing everything, or separate the lists before joining. After joining, check periods and capital letters at the start of each sentence: sometimes the original break hid a sentence change without punctuation.

A practical check before using the result

Try two paragraphs separated by a blank line with the keep-paragraphs option: the result must have exactly two blocks. Then use No space on a code split across lines and check that it becomes continuous.

Settings and limits

Paste text and choose how to join lines: with a space, without a space or keeping paragraphs separated by a blank line. It is useful for text copied from a PDF or email with breaks in the middle of sentences. Optionally collapse repeated spaces.

Frequently asked questions

Is paragraph separation preserved?

Yes, with the keep-paragraphs option: a blank line still separates blocks and only lines inside each block are joined.

Is it free, and do I need to sign up?

Yes, it is free. You do not need to sign up, create an account or install an app, and there is no daily quota: open the tool and use it. The only limits are file sizes, which protect your device’s memory.

Is my data sent to any server?

No. What you type or paste is processed in your browser’s memory and is not sent to any server. You can check it in the browser’s Network tab or by going offline after the page has loaded.
