Random date generator
Generate dates between two days, with an option to prevent duplicates.

How we handle your data →How to use this tool
- Choose inclusive start and end dates.
- Set a count and choose whether repeated dates are allowed.
- Generate and check the interval; output retains random draw order.
An example you can verify
Create dates for test data.
Example input
Start: 2026-01-01. End: 2026-01-05. Count: 5.
Expected result
All five days from January 1 to 5, 2026, in random order.
Every date must appear exactly once. No example order is guaranteed; both endpoints are eligible.
Random date generator: uses and practical guidance
Generating random dates prepares fictitious data for testing calendars, forms and tables. Choose a start date, end date and quantity; both endpoints belong to the interval. The tool works with calendar days rather than times of day or timezones. Generated values are samples inside the range. They do not represent real events or guarantee compliance with a process’s particular scheduling rules. Define the intended testing conditions before using the output as sample records.
Decide whether dates may repeat. Without repetition, quantity cannot exceed the number of available days. An interval containing only one date offers one unique option even after generating again. With repetition enabled, the same day may appear several times, and a later output can match an earlier one. That is normal behaviour and should match the kind of data the simulation is intended to represent.
Weekends and holidays are not automatically excluded. Test appointments requiring business days need an additional calendar and review of that criterion. The generator also does not guarantee minimum spacing between dates or a fixed allocation across months. Simulation constraints should be established before relying on the sample, so records are not mistakenly presented as satisfying rules the tool never checked. A valid date inside a range is not necessarily a suitable appointment.
Review endpoints, quantity and duplicates according to the selected setting. Save a sample when the same test must be repeated because another generation does not guarantee identical values. Days between dates measures separation, while Add or subtract days finds a deterministic offset date. Label generated data as fictitious in examples and screenshots so it cannot be mistaken for a real event calendar or an externally confirmed schedule.
A practical check before using the result
For a small interval, compare the requested quantity with available days and verify every result lies between the endpoints. Save the set used in a test so errors can be reproduced against the same fictitious data. Check repeated dates according to the selected mode.
Settings and limits
Choose start date, end date and a count from 1 to 1,000. Both endpoints are eligible. Every day has equal probability and output uses YYYY-MM-DD without a time zone. Unique mode requires enough eligible days. Randomness comes from the browser’s cryptographic generator.
Frequently asked questions
Are results sorted by date?
No. Results retain random draw order. Unique mode ensures each day appears at most once; weekends and holidays are not excluded.
Are my data stored on a server?
No. Content and files are processed in your browser without an account. Closing the page loses unsaved results.
