Turn text or a URL into a QR code and download PNG or SVG.
Private: it runs in your browser and what you type is never sent anywhere. How to check it
The QR contains your exact text. It does not expire or track scans. Check it scans before printing.
We do not send the contents of your files or text to any server: everything is processed in your browser’s memory. No account is needed, there is no daily quota and we use no analytics or trackers. Each tool has size limits to protect your device’s memory.
A connection is only needed to load the site. After that you can disconnect and the tools keep working (some previews may need the connection). Hosting may receive technical visit data. Favorites store only tool identifiers in this browser.
How we handle your data →Prepare a QR pointing directly to a URL or containing your chosen text.
https://example.com
QR containing exactly https://example.com.
Scan before printing and retain contrast and margin. The QR does not expire, but its destination may change or disappear.
Your text or link is encoded directly. Snipshed adds no intermediary URL or scan tracking. The destination address must remain available. Test the QR with another device before distributing it.
Creating a QR code represents text or an address so another device can read it with a camera. It is useful for a link on a poster, handout or printed reference. Enter the complete content to distribute, including https:// for a web address. The tool embeds that content directly. It does not create a managed redirect or a scan tracking dashboard, so the information in the downloaded symbol is the information supplied in the field.
The QR has no built in expiry date, but its destination can change or stop responding. If the printed address is wrong, the data in existing copies cannot be edited without generating and printing another code. Review the text before downloading. Private query parameters are embedded as well; choose an appropriate public link for widely distributed material. The apparent convenience of scanning does not remove the need to inspect what is being shared.
Preserve the white margin and black on white contrast. Cropping the quiet area or placing the code against a low contrast background can make scanning difficult. Longer strings require more modules and may need a larger printed size. PNG is pixel based; SVG allows vector scaling, but still needs clear reproduction and a readable physical size. The chosen file format cannot compensate for an unreadably small or badly printed symbol.
Scan the download with another device and inspect the exact destination. Then test a print at final size if that is the intended use. A preview that merely resembles a QR is insufficient verification. The tool does not establish link safety or ownership. Retain the source text with the generated file so each version’s contents remain identifiable when preparing additional print runs.
For a poster, print a sample at the intended size and scan it from a realistic distance. Inspect the destination afterwards and preserve the outside margin. If printing shrinks or crops the code, review the layout file before producing more copies. Keep the exact address associated with each version for later verification.
Download the result or copy the text before opening another tool. Then load or paste it into the next step; content is not transferred automatically.
Generate the code and inspect its dimensions before printing.
Paste a full URL (including https://) or text, then choose size and format. Black on white provides contrast and a quiet margin. There is no redirect: your content is inside the QR. Scan it with another device before sharing.
Yes, it is free. You do not need to sign up, create an account or install an app, and there is no daily quota: open the tool and use it. The only limits are file sizes, which protect your device’s memory.
No. What you type or paste is processed in your browser’s memory and is not sent to any server. You can check it in the browser’s Network tab or by going offline after the page has loaded.
